Leaf propagation shows how resilient many succulents can be. A healthy leaf, even a small one, may produce roots and a new rosette when conditions are stable.
Choose firm leaves, remove them cleanly, and let the wound dry before placing them in a bright, airy location. Avoid burying or soaking the leaf. The parent leaf stores water while roots and new growth begin.
Not every leaf will succeed, so treat it as a patient experiment. Good light, airflow, and restraint with water make the process much more reliable.
要葉孵必需有芽點什麼是芽點? 就是能長出多肉的地方，有些是先長根，有些直接就會長出肉肉來。
新手最容易有成就感的就是兔子，海倫最先葉孵成功的就是兔子。
兔子即使只剩一半都可以試著葉孵，因為這就是生存的本能!
有時兔子孵久了沒有動靜，海倫 就試著剪掉一半，有時會從傷口處長出來，待長成有葉型時，就可以剪掉已耗葉的部分種入盆內。
什麼可以種類可以葉孵? 海倫 目前無所不試，天章、兔子、景天... 都會試試，上圖為天章類的苦瓜掉米。
什麼時後可以入土為安? 基本上已經耗葉或有長出多肉態就可以了，上圖為紅寶石寶寶，已經有花型是不是很可愛?
平時海倫用噴霧噴薄水，土乾再噴，但要留意品種像高貴的黑王子，二個多月才發根、第三個月才有葉型，剛開始時有一片不小心碰到水，居然黑腐了，6王子最後變5王子... 所以噴水時 海倫 都用手掌遮著，只是讓土微溼。
