Succulent Disease: Powdery Mildew

Powdery mildew is a fungal problem that often appears as pale gray or white patches on succulent leaves. It is more likely when nights are humid and days are warm, especially when airflow is poor.

Early signs are easier to manage than a plant that has already been covered in powdery patches. Isolate affected plants, improve ventilation, avoid wetting leaves at night, and remove badly damaged material when needed.

For serious cases, growers may use appropriate fungicides according to the product label. Prevention still matters most: cleaner airflow, careful watering, and regular inspection reduce the chance of repeated outbreaks.
